This September, our Blender Youth team joined forces with Bayside City Council to run a street art mentoring program with a group of young people. The program was run over three weeks and included artist talks from our talented street artists, and workshops where the young people worked along side our team to learn all the tricks of the trade for freehand spray painting.
The group then worked together to develop their own mural design, incorporating all the participants ideas and imagery.
Together, on the final day of the program the young people (assisted by our artists) installed the work onto this toilet block. The outcome is a brilliantly colourful and vibrant collaboration of the young people's work for the community to enjoy for years to come.
