ScoutsDayOut - Street Art Treasure Hunt

This month, Blender partnered with Scouts Australia for BigDayScout. Over 8000 scouts participated in the day which featured a city-wide treasure hunt of street art.

In the lead up to the event, Blender worked closely with a group of 17 scouts who learnt the ropes of Melbourne's urban art scene and helped conceptualise the murals that were to be painted for the big day.

Calling upon some of Melbourne's most proficient artists, Blender arranged for Heesco and Makatron to paint scout inspired murals hidden away in the city's laneways for the scouts to find. In addition to these paintings, Caper also painted a boat in his signature bright palete which created a centrepiece for the celebration.

The Blender laneway was packed with scouts on Sunday, all seeking out the hidden places of these street art treasures. The game finished up with a party at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl for all the scouts, families and associates involved in this huge day.
