skateboard bowl street art at horsham

The Blender Crew recently embarked on an incredible journey to Horsham, where we had the opportunity to collaborate with the local youth community on a very special project: transforming a giant skateboard bowl into a vibrant work of art!
Our dedicated crew put in the research to determine the best type of paint for the job, ensuring a long-lasting and visually striking result. We knew that creating a design that could be easily maintained by the local team after our departure was essential, so we focused on simplicity without compromising the visual impact. And worked with a limited colour scheme.
With a whopping 90 liters of paint and a shared passion for art, our crew worked tirelessly alongside many young people from the Horsham district, for three days, in 40 degree heat. Through laughter, camaraderie, and the occasional splatter of paint, we watched as the once-ordinary skateboard bowl transformed into a stunning masterpiece. Chanching the space into a beautiful bright landmark for locals and tourists to enjoy.
We're beyond grateful for the chance to share our love for art with the Horsham community, and the young people, who over a period of many months and multible workshops became very much a part of the Blender Crew. We hope that the newly-transformed skateboard bowl will inspire and delight local skaters and art enthusiasts and tourists alike.
This experience was a powerful reminder that art truly has the power to bring people together and create something beautiful. Art is transformative, this project is a great example of art becoming a place maker. #BlenderCrew #HorshamArt #SkateboardBowlMural #CommunityArt #urbanart #skate #australianart #colors #iloveaustralia
